Students in grades 6 through 12 are invited to participate in a digital photography course. Students will receive basic instruction in digital photography, discuss artful composition and techniques, utilize an Internet share site, compare point-and-shoot cameras to single-lens reflex and participate in remote critique of participants’ photographs. The course will conclude with the students creating an art project using their photographs.
Instructor will meet with students in four sessions in June and will encourage students to “shoot and save” throughout the summer. Student images may be used in future TCAAC or other promotional materials. Select artwork may be framed at the expense of the Council and remain in its permanent collection.
The course is free of charge. Registration and medical release form are required by May 30, 2019. Space is limited to six (6) students on a first-come, first-served basis. Click the button below to register.
