Prathyaksha (Prathya) Krishna Prasad is an Urban Conservation Architect, artist, and educator passionate about art, history, and cultural heritage. Born and raised in India, her lifelong fascination with ancient civilizations and their artistic achievements has shaped her journey, blending creativity with heritage conservation.
Prathya’s work explores how art can illuminate history, raise awareness about cultural preservation, and transform spaces. Her travels and studies of global traditions inspire her vibrant and intricate compositions, which often incorporate patterns, bold colors, and pen-and-ink details. While skilled in various media, she prefers watercolors, layering them with textures and acrylic embellishments. Her exploration of traditional Indian art forms deepens her connection to cultural heritage and informs her artistic practice.
As an art educator, Prathya is dedicated to inspiring young minds to appreciate and preserve the world’s artistic and cultural legacy. Through her art and teaching, she fosters a deeper understanding of how heritage connects us all.
Prathya received 1st Place in the Advanced Mixed Media category and 3rd Place in the Advanced Drawing category at the 2023 TCAAC a fine art exhibit.
