We couldn't have done it without her and her staff!
For the past 6 years, the Tipp City Area Arts Council has been under the umbrella of Tipp-Monroe Community Services, with Kathy Taylor at the helm. Taylor and TMCS mentored and guided the TCAAC through its fledgling years. The Tipp City Area Arts Council has received its own 501(c)3 status and as of April 1, 2016, will now operate independently. This is an exciting chapter in the story of the Tipp City Arts Area Council, albeit slightly bittersweet. Like a baby bird leaving the nest . . . a feat that would not be possible without the nurturing of its mother. . . Kathy Taylor and TMCS has supported the Tipp City Arts Council and made it possible for us to fly. For this, we will be eternally grateful. At the April 12 TCAAC board meeting, the first TCAAC president, Molly Spencer, presented Taylor with a parting gift for all that she has done for the Tipp City Area Arts Council [top]. On April 21, at the TMCS board meeting, Molly Spencer and current TCAAC president, Andrew White, presented Taylor with a certificate naming her "Trustee Emeritus of the Arts Council" [bottom]. The two organizations will continue to work together to help promote the arts and activities that we all enjoy. . . and that make Tipp City one of the best hometowns in the state!
