Student Art Contest
We were thrilled to have received thirty-nine wonderfully creative "creatures" and would like to thank all students who submitted artwork! The Student Art Contest & Exhibit encourages creativity, imagination and fun. . . and is open to all K–12 students in Tipp City and neighboring communities.

There were six (6) categories for judging purposes: Kindergarten–Grade 1, Grades 2–3, Grades 4–5, Grades 6–7, Grades 8–9 and Grades 10–12. Artwork was judged by committee and winners were chosen in each category. In addition, the Randall Residence judged and awarded in each category.

An awards ceremony was held at the Randall Residence on June 2 and artwork remained on display until July 8.

Thanks again to all students who participated in this year's event. . . and we look forward to seeing your submissions again next year. Pictured below are just some of this year's talented student artists!

Children's Art Adventure
Do we have it going on. . . or what?!
You can now purchase your Children's Art Adventure wristbands on our website!!! You can purchase by clicking here. Please be sure to bring a copy of your receipt to the event on August 6, 2016, to receive your wristbands.

The Children's Art Adventure is a themed arts festival unlike any other art opportunity for children in this area. This event offers children ages 3–12 from Tipp City and surrounding communities, the opportunity to explore many forms of art and different types of media at dozens of art stations. Some examples of projects are shoebox guitars, tie dye T-shirts, bookmaking, origami, necktie snakes, pendulum painting, recycled materials crafts and a community art project. Participation in art stations requires the purchase of a wristband. Admission allows unlimited workshop participation and includes all supplies for the projects. Some workshops may have a minimum age restriction due to the complexity of the project, and parents are encouraged to participate with younger children.

We look forward to seeing  you!!!

We are honored to have these folks in our corner. . .
The Tipp City Area Arts Council was joined by presenting sponsors Edison State Community College and Thrivent Financial Associate Matt Buehrer, in addition to Marilyn Richards, representing the Tipp City Area Community Foundations, at their May 10, 2016 board meeting.

Bruce McKenzie, Director of Marketing and Communication at Edison State Community College and Matt Buehrer, local Thrivent Financial Associate each presented a check for $5,000 in support of the TCAAC’s annual Canal Music Fest. JJ Slanker, Canal Music Fest Chair, accepted the checks on behalf of the event and said, “We are so fortunate to have this type of support from area leaders. We certainly could not do this without them”.

Marilyn Richards from the Tipp City Area Community Foundations presented a check for $2,000 in support of the TCAAC Children’s Art Adventure programs. Renee Matsunami, Chair of the Children’s programs was on hand to accept the generous donation.

This is not the first time that these local organizations have supported the TCAAC. Edison State and Thrivent Associate Matt Buehrer are returning presenting sponsors of the Canal Music Fest and the Tipp City Area Community Foundations has donated to the TCAAC on multiple occasions.

TCAAC President Andrew White commented, “On behalf of the Tipp City Area Arts Council, I would like to thank Edison State Community College, Thrivent Financial Associate Matt Buehrer, the Tipp City Area Community Foundations, as well as all other sponsors, vendors and volunteers for the support that has enabled us to host great events year after year.”
