Barb Schneider
Barb Schneider has been quilting for over 20 years. She began with traditional quilts and then moved into memory quilts, which led her into art quilts. Barb had never explored her creative side until she began quilting, She is now learning and exploring techniques in order to find her unique artistic "voice" and enjoys sharing her passions through her art quilts.
Barb's mom was a quilter but did not live long enough to teach her. She treasures every loving stitch in all of her mother's quilts. Barb believes that quilts are a key to our past and our heritage. This can be seen and felt in the techniques and fabrics used.
Barb has received multiple awards for her work, including Best in Show for Quilting in 2019, and Second Runner Up in 2020, in Maryville, TN. She was accepted into a Juried International Show for the Modern Quilt Guild in 2021 and into the Springfield Museum of Art Member Show in 2024. Her Lunar Eclipse quilt square was accepted for inclusion in the juried guilt for Lunar Exploration by NASA, in 2025.
